The following are case studies displaying my experiences with various types of projects.
I started on this project as a consultant. My role was to guide in aligning business needs with training. After assessing the scope, I requested to remain on the project as a supporting instructional designer.
My responsibilities included technical design and project management. I collaborated with the lead instructional designer, learning experience administrator, and subject matter experts to develop the training progression. I designed learning product templates and assisted with building eLearnings, PowerPoints, job aids, and the training portal.
How do we create consistent training for appraiser trainees across the country that will meet their state’s requirements to become licensed and ultimately certified residential appraisers?
We needed to restructure the current program to include accessible tools, a transparent licensure process for all trainees, and incorporate a blended learning approach.
We built a training program that placed trainees by experience level, created a training portal to keep communication consistent, and developed a framework for the Team Appraiser trainee program.
Rise modules with knowledge checks and videos (Powtoon and in-house content).

The project consisted of myself and another instructional designer.
How do we provide the same experience and information to training classes facilitated by trainers and hybrid trainers (high-level team members)?
The current Insurance Specialist training program needed to align all facilitators, provide the same content, and provide a consistent experience for all team members.
Blended learning with learner-centered content. The solution meant more self-paced learning with flipped classroom practices.
Nine storyline modules for each initial insurance specialist topic.
Examples: Insurance Basics, Flood Insurance, and Purchase Loans.
Three slide decks for facilitation.
The decks covered training expectations, review content, activities, and real-world scenarios for in-depth discussions.
Two digital handouts were created.
The first handout was a framework manual with training expectations, a class syllabus, and technical guides. The second handout was a guided notes workbook for the self-paced modules.

I was responsible for designing the layout experience and interface for the Rock Station training websites. In addition to the UI and UX design, I created website assets.
How do we provide content and communication to our business partners and their team members about ongoing training, training content, and updates?
Create a tool that the business and their teams could reference, which will help foster a stronger relationship between the training team and those we support.
Each training team within Rock Station will have a training hub.

I was responsible for leading the rebranding of AU training to CE Ops Training. I worked closely with leaders, the AU Vice President, and a couple of instructional design peers to deliver a new logo, branding colors, and training templates.
How can our training team form an identity representing those we support and reestablish who we are?
Senior leaders concluded it was time to rebrand and change AU’s name to CE Ops Training to reflect the purpose of the training team.
The challenge resulted in a rebranding campaign.
The CE Ops Training logo was completed with creative direction from senior leaders.
During the design process, I created about twenty mock-up variations.
The foundational colors were chosen to mirror the colors of the Client Experience Operations team.
I collaborated with a peer to form the new color palette.
